On the first Tuesday of the holidays Dad, Mum, Abbie and I drove to Jet Park Hotel in Auckland. We arrived at 6:00pm at night. We had dinner at the restaurant. I ordered a pizza, it was huge! Abbie ordered the same pizza. Mum ordered a fish soup and Dad ordered a fancy meal [I have no idea what it was called]. When we finished we went back to the room and watched TV. We went to bed at something like 9:00pm
We woke up the next morning at 4:00am in time to get ready for the bus to go to the airport. We had to go through security and bag check. We met all our family at the airport, we went upstairs to get some breakfast, and we met the Commonwealth Weightlifter in the men’s division gold medelist. Auntie Heather, Abbie and I got a selfie with him. I had Macdonald’s for breakfast.
A few hours later we boarded the plane and found our seats, I was fiddling with my screen and I finally got it working after something like 20 minutes. There was seat chat, games, music and movies. The flight was something like 4 hours.
When we got to Rarotonga we went through security and bag claim. We picked up the 16 seater van. It was steaming hot, all the luggage went on the back seats. One of the air conditioner things were broken and none of the windows would open. We drove to the resort, it took about 15 minutes. When we got to the resort we went and found our rooms and unpacked. Mum and Dad shared a room, and Abbie and I shared a room.
Once we got that sorted out we went to the restaurant for a meal. Once we finished we went to the the pool for a swim. I met two girls their names were Lexi and Paige, we became friends. Lexi had an older brother named Harrison. A few days later we found out that Lexi and Harrison were in the room above us.
We got out of the pool and said bye, we went back to the room and went to bed. But we couldn’t get to sleep for a while.
The next night Dad, Auntie Heather, Uncle Hayden and H went on the party bus. H meet some girls they were all from NZ.
The next day we were in the pool all day playing tag. The next night we went to this really fancy dancy restaurant there was six cats. Mum and Dad had a big meal but all I had was a bowl of hot chips. I was outside doing slow mo videos on Mums phone.
On the third day we went on captain Tamas boat. All the Rarotongans we saying if you ever come back bring us some KFC. When we were on the boat we went snorkeling then had a island feast. Once we got back from captain Tamas we went to a really amazing show. It was something like $100 each. We went to the show on Saturday night, it was really cool, there was an island dance and a buffet dinner.
After everyone finished the fire dancers came out. There was a lot more dancing. When it finished we went back to the resort and in the pools we were pushing our friends in the deep end.
On the last day we went to the fruits of Rarotonga to feed the fish all our left over bread. One bit my finger and made it red.
On the last night we had a pizza party at v14 (at my aunty, uncle and cousins room ). I made a graph of how many beers everyone drank. We went back to our room at 11:00pm on Rarotonga time.
The next day we drove to the airport and said bye to the pretty views of Rarotonga and we climbed on the plane and traveled back to New Zealand.
