The first best day ever!

There was a new boy called William . He sat in a wheelchair and his wheelchair had super powers like invisibility floatation device and super speed. William Had a secret panel in his wheelchair . A elephant had escaped from the circus . Williams wheelchair isn’t normal it’s invincible. Goal- choose and write my own stories Use speech effectively, Try to use punctuation in my story Everyone stood iced in fright the students gasped others screamed “AAAAAAAAHHHHH!!! The Principal fainted. William was a new boy, he had a secret button in his wheelchair that will make a secret panel appear, William pushed another button and a microphone popped out onto his lap. William shouted “ get out of my way!” Watch out!” BREAKING NEWS Sorry to interrupt A elephant has escaped from the zoo, the Zoo keepers have warned you to watch out END OF BREAKING NEWS RING! It’s the school bell for morning tea. William wanted to use a good impression in front of everyone. Suddenly a huge circus elephant raced into the school ground and smashed the golden fence down to the ground. The kids mumbled “ Why couldn’t he have just gone through the front gate!” William said “ that’s a way that I could make a good impression in front of the whole school”! “ Watch out otherwise you will be flat as a pancake.” Everyone shuffled back the most popular kid in the school fell into a water trough, “ HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!” Now he wasn’t popular at all. “I would feel a bit sorry for him” said William. Ok now it is time to save the day! Then William went into action and got his peanut launcher and made a trail back to the circus tent. Then he was the most popular kid at school he was happy!

Parent Interviews - Yearly Reflections My writing goal is (have you changed it, why?) - Goal- My new writing goal is to... organize related ideas into paragraphs and use linking words and phrases to link some of these paragraphs. I chose this goal because... I haven’t done it yet I think I should work on this goal because it would be challenging. I practise this by… I will work on my goal in my writing. A piece of writing I am proud of is…. The neighborhood bullies, Sean is the biggest bully in Danville Bigger than a bus. Once he lifted a bus with his bare hands. The normal sized kids bought him lunch some days. One day the normal sized children were in the bus on the way to school then Sean picked the bus up and started shaking it. He shook it so hard three children fell out, they looked rather dazed. Sean grabbed a boy by his ankles. His name was Henry Mitchell. He had ginger hair. Sean grabbed the lunchbox and said ‘’ do you have any lunch for me little nerd’’ Henry shuddered ‘’ um, you can have my chicken nuggets’’ ‘’Thanks little nerd’’. Minutes after Big Steve moved into the neighborhood, he said ‘’Hi I’m new’’. Can I smell chicken nuggets. Big Steve wants some chicken nuggets!! ”gulp “ Sean ate the whole lunchbox “Sorry all gone” Big Steve got angry. So he got a humongous pink paint can and tipped it on Sean. “ Oh whoops sorry.”Sean gets really angry. The normal sized children started laughing. “What are you laughing at or you will be next”. “AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! ”The normal sized kids scattered into the classroom back. The normal sized children had put up with one bullie but now there was two bullies! It was time for the normal sized children to fight back. They had a group huddle and made a plan. One of the boys got a phone and searched up the number for super inflatable chicken nuggets. They ordered a super large crate of inflatable chicken nuggets. About 1 minute later a truck came and delivered the super large box of the super inflatable chicken nuggets. It got dropped off in front of Sean and Big Steve, They gulped all of the chicken nuggets down. Then Sean’s and Big Steve’s tummy’s started blowing up like a big fat Gorilla balloons. One of the normal sized children shouted VOLLEYBALL TIME. Then the normal sized children pushed big Steve and Sean up into the air and they floated into space. They started arguing. about who got them up into space “It's all your fault said Sean”why” because you tipped pink paint on me.” Well if you gave me the chicken nuggets in the first place I wouldn’t of tipped the pink paint on you and the kids wouldn’t of made us blow up like big fat gorilla balloons and we wouldn’t have floated up into space”. “How are we going to get down”? wondered Big Steve. “We will have to work together” said Big Steve “ Ok then hold my hand “ said Sean. So Steve held Sean’s hand and POP!!!!!! Steve and Sean both popped on the satellite. They were like a balloon when you try and blow it up but then you let go and it flies round the room, well they basically flew round the whole world. Finally they got back to school but they were normal sized so they were nice to the normal sized kids but then Big Stewart moved in. Dun dun dun. In maths I am currently learning (how do you feel about this, what are your next steps? Give your parents a rundown of what we do as well)… - about working together, learning about fractions and doing problems in a group. Reading - Share your reading work (talk about some of the things you do in reading.) We use cover cards, we were also reading with a buddy after morning tea and lunch. My partner was Bianca and most of the time if there was māroi words we would try to say them. Do you have any other goals you would like to share, what are you doing to achieve them? My other goal is to work on slope and speech in my writing. I will achieve them by practicing them in my writing And in my spare time Pick 3 more pieces of work from your blog (write why you are going to share them and what you were learning to do) -the neighborhood bullies - lawn mower robot rampage -the first best day ever.

What has been the best part of 2017 for you?
My best part of 2017 was raising baby chicks out of the incubator because I have never done it before.

What is something you have been proud of in 2017?
 Winning 1st place in the girls at the pig hunt in the creature run

What do you think that good learners do?
I think that good learners listen, care for others, reread sentences and If they mess up their writing they will cross it out and try again.

What is one way that you show that in class?
I would listen to Mr Dillon while he is talking on the mat, when we are solving problems at our tables instead of just one person doing all the work you have to share it out evenly.

What is one Toko Learning Star that you would like to work on and why?
I will need to work on personal best  because I need to take care of my belongings.

What is one learning goal you are currently working on, what are you doing to achieve it?
The learning goal I am working on is slope in my writing I am working on it by practicing it.

Goal- recount what I learned at bike safety with Jono

-Use speech effectively

On Tuesday Jono came to  School to teach the year fours and under how to ride a bike safely. Jono came into the class with his bike “Wooow” the year fours chanted. Jono started talking about… the frame, the wheels, the brakes, the handle bars and the flashing lights. Then Jono said “ if you were caught not wearing a helmet while riding you will get a $55 fine”. We then we went outside to do the course. We put our helmets on and  got on our bikes. THE COURSE HAD A JUMP!!! It even had a round about! after we did the course we did like sixteen laps. Then we went down to the back field for some races, but I didn’t race I helped Jono load all the spare bikes back into the big truck. Then after we finished loading the bikes I ran down to where the races were and ran in them. It was fun I hope I can do it next year!

Business reflection

Over the last few weeks we have been researching and looking at websites about our business. My group has been looking at  making YouTube videos. I have learned that you don’t have to make a YouTube account you just use your email and then boom you got a account. When you make a YouTube video you need to use boom language also add a bit of drama.We have decided we will work together as a whole class to use personal best to work at businesses that so we can get further. We will be trying to sell chickens, make graphs, make grain, compost, building nesting boxes and growing food. In my group there is Harrison Cohen and  I. We are making YouTube videos we have been working on our scripts for ages but I think we finally got.

Robot lawnmower fight back

-Goal- -retell a story in my own words Use speech effectively There was a boy named Hemi, his Dad made him mow the lawns that weekend. He absolutely hated it, it really disgusted him. He had better things to do than mow lawns. He could be building a robot, “I got it “ said Hemi. He could build a robot to mow the lawns for him. He went into the shed and got three steak knives, some old scissors, dad's old nose picker , a laser pointer that burns things wherever you point it, a blender, and some guitar strings to tie it all together and finally he gets the old computer. Hemi stayed up all night and worked on his invention. Finally it worked “ it’s alive! KABOOM!!! “Oops still needs a little bit of work”. Finally it actually worked!!! In the morning he programmed it into mowing the lawns for him. Hemi sat in a deck chair and had a soft drink. Before you know it Hemi fell asleep. He woke up to the sound of a group of people screaming. His robot was nowhere to be seen. Dun dun dun. Hemi assumed his robot was making all the commotion. Hemi raced into the city he looked around everyone was bald. When Hemi looked round he saw his robot smashing everything in sight, the robot smashed the statue of the mayor, the circus tent, the zoo, schools, apartments, banks, Keli tarlton's aquarium, Harvey Norman, Noel leeming, centre city, pet shops, the rugby stadium where Jared and William were watching the all blacks vs rabbitohs. Chicken Lala land, (made especially for kiwi, Sky, Daisy and for Mackalya. The lawnmower robot stormed out off the stadium and it to chicken lala land. Luckily The four chickens rushed out Kiwi said to sky Daisy and Mackalya “ stay safe I will be fine” “ok” said Sky Daisy and Mackalya at the same time. So they left. Kiwi went up to the lawnmower robot and whispered “you better watch out” a second later Kiwi started doing karate on the lawn mower robot. She knocked the robots head off got the scissors and chopped the robot's legs off and then Kiwi grabbed the laser and took the arms off the robot and that was the end of that.

What i did -  First I dyed the background Red, orange and yellow, once that dried I sketched my tree with a pencil when mr Dillon was happy with my sketch I painted the tree and the branches black
